4.8. Changing a password
During the creation of an encrypted file, you always set a password used to
access this file (see section 4.3 on page 26). The password can be changed if
the encrypted file is not currently mounted as a volume.
To change the password for an encrypted file:
1. Launch Kaspersky DataSafe for Pocket PC. In the list of encrypted files,
select a file that is not mounted as a volume yet.
2. Select
the
Change Password
option from either the file shortcut menu
or the main menu (
Volume
→
Change Password
).
3. In the
Change Password
screen (see Figure 16), enter the old
password, the new password and then confirm the new password. In
addition, the encryption algorithm (
Cipher
) can be changed. Click
OK
to
save the changes.

4.9. Deleting an encrypted file
You can delete any encrypted files that are not currently mounted as volumes.
The encrypted files will be deleted along with the data contained in them.
