Flowmeters are mounted with inlet pipes on horizontal, vertical and
upstream pipelines (figure 2.2) with the following restrictions:
n
Outlet pressure of the working fluid should be not less than
2
0.05 MPa (0.5 kg/cm ) for KARAT-520-20, -25, -32 and not less than
2
0.1 MPa (1,0 kg/cm ) for KARAT-520-40, -50, -65, -80.
n
During operation a flow tube and a pipeline should be completely
filled with a working fluid;
n
Air pocket (air bubbles and blocks) is not allowed in measured flow
during flowmeter operation.
In certain cases (when other mounting variants are not possible) it is
allowed to install the flowmeter on downstream pipelines, subject to
conditions, mentioned above.
