How to Steam Garments
1. Ensure that there is sufficient
ventilation behind the garment
being steamed; this will prevent
any moisture building up that could
otherwise result in mould or mildew.
2. Check that all pockets are empty
and all cuffs and hems are down.
3. Attach the fabric brush to the
garment steamer head and turn
the steamer on. Allow the garment
steamer to heat for at least
2 minutes before commencing
steaming.
4. Hang the fabric on a hanger and
slightly stretch the fabric to make
the steaming process easier.
5. Once fully heated, hold the
garment steamer with the steam
outlets facing away from you, press,
and hold down the steam trigger.
You will feel slight vibrations and
hear a humming sound while the
garment steamer is steaming; this
is normal.
6. Gently press the fabric brush
against the garment being
steamed. Move the steamer in a
slow up and down motion, across
the whole garment focusing on
creases.
7. Release the steam trigger to stop
generating steam.
CAUTION:
If the garment
has metal accessories,
be cautious and do not
hover garment steamer
directly over the metal
as this may cause
discolouration.
NOTE:
For best results, gently
stretch the fabric whilst steaming.
How to Steam Curtains
1. Wash and dry curtains as directed,
according to the fabric type.
2. Hang the curtains and steam as
they are hanging in place.
3. Gently press the fabric brush
against the curtain fabric. Move
the steamer in a slow up and down
motion, focusing on major creases.
4. Lightly stretch the curtain fabric
with one hand while steaming to
assist in removing creases.
5. Release the steam trigger to stop
generating steam.
CAUTION:
Do not use the
garment steamer directly
on the body, animals,
or while wearing the
garments.
