5. Clean the spark plug with a wire brush if it is to be
reused.
6. Measure the spark plug gap with a feeler gauge. Correct if necessary by carefully
attaching the side electrode. The gap should be 0.70
– 0.60 mm.
7. Check that the spark plug washer is in good condition and tighten the spark plug by
hand to prevent the threads from twisting.
8. After seating the spark plug, tighten it with a spark plug wrench to tighten the washer.
If installing a new spark plug, tighten it 1/2 turn after
seating to press down on the washer. If re-installing a
used spark plug, tighten it 1/8 -1/4 turn after seating to
tighten the washer.
NOTE!
The spark plug must be securely tightened. An
improperly tightened spark plug can become very hot
and damage the engine. Never use spark plugs that have
the wrong temperature range, use only recommended
spark plugs or their equivalent.
TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

fire. Allow the engine to cool before transporting or storing the generator.
Be careful not to drop or hit the generator during transportation. Do not place heavy objects
on the generator.
Before storing the device for a long time, make sure that the storage area is free from
