Check list:
h
Buy good meat, e.g. a nice piece of roast beef with fat lining, about 4 cm /
1.5 inches thick.
h
Remove the meat from the fridge an hour before cooking.
h
Optional: now you can coat the steak with a little oil, and sprinkle over a little
salt, seasoning proper is for later on.
h
Add oil or fat to the frying pan, or coat the grill grates with oil.
h
Choose your SteakChamp (e.g. medium rare), switch on and insert into the
steak.
h
Fry or grill both sides of the steak for around two minutes over high heat.
h
Reduce heat (cooker: half a turn, grill to approx. 130 to 170°C / 260 to 340° F)
and braise over medium heat... turn the steak every 2 to 3 minutes to ensure
even results.
h
When SteakChamp double flashes, remove steak from the heat and leave to
rest on a wooden board (cover not wrap with aluminium foil)... until the double
flash signal stops. Your steak is now perfect.
h
Remove SteakChamp, sprinkle over sea salt and freshly ground pepper, and
that’s it! Enjoy your steak.
