Selecting a Source
Pressing the buttons for each sound source on the
remote control, or the [SOURCE] button on the main
unit will switch from the currently selected source to
the other source. Press the [iPod], [CD], [USB/iPad],
[AUDIO IN/AUX], [TUNER] or [NETWORK] on the
remote control.
Select the desired source by pressing the [SOURCE]
button on main unit repeatedly.

A.P.S. (Auto Power Save) Function
The main unit will enter the standby mode after 15
minutes of inactivity during:

CD

: In the stop mode or no disc.

USB

In a stop mode or not connected.

iPod

: Not docked.

AUDIO IN/AUX
h
No detection of input signal.
- when AUDIO IN/AUX is selected, it may take a
little while for the power of the unit to be shut off,
depending on the noise condition.
Note

When iPod/iPhone is connected to the iPod/iPhone
dock, battery charge starts. “Charge Mode” will be
displayed.

If the sound source is USB and iPod/iPhone is
connected to the iPod/iPhone dock (when “iPod
Dock Charge Mode” is displayed), A.P.S function is
not active.
Auto Power On function
During Network Standby, if UX-N5 is selected by
AirPlay/DLNA device and playback is started, this unit
turns on the power automatically and the music is
output from the speaker of this unit.
This condition applies when:

Network has previously been set up between the
unit and your AirPlay/DLNA device. (p. 14)
0
This unit is set to NETWORK STANDBY. (p. 10)

Press the [ENTER] button on the remote control when
“Press ENTER to start streaming” is displayed.
AirPlay/DLNA Auto Switch
For sources other than NETWORK, if “UX-N5” is
selected by AirPlay/DLNA device and playback is
started, the source is switched to NETWORK
automatically and music from AirPlay/DLNA device is
played back.
This condition applies when:

Network has previously been set up between the
unit and your AirPlay/DLNA device. (p. 14)
