1.13 INSTALLATION CONNECTOR (CN13 ON CPU
BOARD)
A connector for connecting the installation remote control unit
or a PC to ensure the remote control-less system operation of
this unit is provided on the setting switch panel. Thus, it is an
application that uses the remote control unit only in the installa-
tion and does not need control lines in normal operation. This
section describes this connector.
1.13.2 Circuit Switching with CN DET Pin
Pins 2, 3 and 4 are switched by the control signal input/output
terminals on the bottom panel terminal board and the CN DET
pin of the connector, and are connected to the CPU.
Note
When using the installation connector, set DIP switches
S2-1 and S2-2 to ON.

Therefore, the control signal at CN13 is permanently at the RS-
232C level regardless of the setting of S1 (RS-485/RS-232 switch)
on the CPU board.
When CN13 is used, the remote control unit connected to the
bottom panel terminals is unavailable because the circuit to it is
switched off.
From the viewpoint of the CPU, CN13 and the equipment con-
nected to the bottom panel terminals are equivalent and the
common communication protocol can be used for them. Set
the protocol switches (S2-1 and S2-2 on CPU board) according
to the installation remote control unit connected to CN13 as
well as the PC software.
1.13.3 Cable for Connection of CN13 and PC
CN13 or the PC can be connected with a jig cable as shown in
Fig. 1-13-3.
