Notes on maintenance
6.1
Preparing the truck for servicing and maintenance operations
All required safety measures must be taken to prevent any accidents in the course of
the servicing and maintenance operations. The following preparatory operations
must be performed:
– Park and lock the truck (refer to chapter E).

When work has to be performed under the lifted load lifting device or truck, suitable
measures must be taken to prevent any dropping, tilting or slipping of the truck. When
lifting the industrial truck, the instructions contained in chapter “Transportation and
commissioning” have to be observed.
Secure the truck against rolling away when you work on the parking brake.
6.2
Checking the foot parking brake setting

A wheel with a tyre that is worn (minimum diameter = 155 mm) warped, moist, greasy
or visibly damaged impairs the braking effect and may constitute a danger. Use
faultless tyres only!

The device must be readjusted when the play between brake shoe and wheel
exceeds 5 mm.
– Disengage the brake in direction B.
– Loosen the locknut (1) and turn the nut (4) until the brake shoe (3) makes contact
with the wheels.
– Loosen the nut (4) by two turns.
– Tighten the locknut (1) again.

The pedal (2) must not turn during adjustment.
