5 Replacing the battery

Pull the battery cable out of its holder. Park the truck on a level ground and lift the
apron until the battery compartment between the scissors is accessible (h = 630).
– Loosen the screws (8) and remove the divided battery hood (9) to the side.
– Loosen the terminal screws and pull the battery cable off the terminals.

Deposit the battery cables such that they do not get caught on the truck when the
battery is pulled out of the truck.
– Grasp the handle and pull the battery (10) out to the side.

Installation occurs in the reverse sequence of steps. When installing the battery,
make sure that it is in the correct position and is correctly connected:
– red cable: + terminal
– black cable: - terminal
– After reinstallation check all cable connections and plugged connections for visible
damage.
