Important safety instructions for the battery and battery charger
•
Wear safety glasses that meet ANSI standards when charging batteries.
•
Check that the voltage indicated on the type plate corresponds to the mains supply voltage.
•
Plug in the battery charger power cord. The green indicator light comes on.
•
NOTE:
If the green indicator light does not come on, unplug the cord and check that the charger is
properly connected.
•
Insert the battery in the charger with the battery terminals turned downwards. The red indicator light
starts to flash and charging begins.
•
The indicator lights go out when the battery is fully charged.
•
Unplug the charger cord and remove the battery from the charger.
•
Battery life will be shortened if it is overcharged, over-discharged or exposed to high temperatures.
•
The battery should be charged and discharged every three months if it is not used for a prolonged
period of time.
•
Store batteries at temperatures between -4°C and 35°C.
•
Spent batteries must be disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations.
