SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions carefully before use
•
Read all operating and safety instructions carefully before use. Failure to follow all the instructions
and safety instructions entails a risk of serious personal injury or death.
•
Always wear safety glasses that meet ANSI Z87.1 standards and are fitted with side protection.
•
This tool emits carbon monoxide. Only use the tool in well ventilated areas. If inhaled, carbon
monoxide can cause dizziness, nausea, unconsciousness and even death.
•
The framing nailer is an internal combustion device and produces hot exhaust gases that may
ignite flammable materials. Never use the tool in the presence of combustible materials, such as
petrol, white spirit, solvents, etc.
•
Do not carry the tool with your finger on the trigger. This may cause a fastener to be discharged
accidently.
•
Do not operate the tool in temperatures above 40°C.
•
Do not use the tool in the rain or in damp areas.
•
Never point the tool at yourself or anyone else. A fastener may be discharged and cause injury.
•
When loading fasteners, never hold your finger on the trigger and do not press the tool against the
work surface. A fastener may be discharged and cause injury.
•
Remove the gas cartridge and battery before loading fasteners, removing jammed fasteners,
adjusting the nailing depth or carrying out maintenance.
•
Remove the gas cartridge and battery before putting the tool away. Store the tool, gas cartridge,
battery and charger separately in a dry place out of the reach of children.
•
Avoid sources of ignition such as flames and sparks and do not smoke when touching, loading or
unloading gas cartridges.
•
Do not remove or disable the work contact element in the tip of the tool. Never use the tool if the
work contact element is not working properly.
•
Check whether there are any electrical wiring, gas pipes and/or water pipes in the work area.
•
Spent batteries, gas cartridges and tools must be disposed of in accordance with applicable
regulations.
Battery and battery charging
•
The framing nailer comes with two rechargeable batteries and a charger. The batteries are shipped
uncharged. Charge a battery before first use. The charging time will be at least 2.5 hours.
•
Read all instructions carefully before charging and using the batteries. Failure to follow all
instructions can result in fire, burns and/or release of toxic substances.

Battery charger
•
Never charge batteries outdoors. Only charge the battery in a dry place.
•
Risk of injury, fire and/or electric shock.
•
The charger must only be used to charge the 7.2V to 24V nickel cadmium/nickel hydride
rechargeable batteries supplied, with maximum capacity 3000mhH. Charging other batteries with
this charger may cause an explosion, injury or damage to property.
Rechargable batteries
•
Only charge batteries at temperatures between 5°C and 45°C.
•
Never make wrong polarity connection when charging the batteries.
•
Do not charge at a higher ampere/voltage than specified on the type plate.
•
Do not puncture or burn the battery.
•
Never try to weld the battery terminals.
•
Do not short circuit the battery as this can damage the battery or cause burns or fire.
•
Store batteries out of the reach of children.
•
Store batteries in a well-ventilated area.
•
Do not expose batteries to water or damp conditions.
•
Do not store batteries in air-tight containers.
