CLEANING/REPLACING THE AIR

The engine will not work properly if the air
filter is blocked because of the reduction in the
supply of air to the carburettor. Clean the air
filter more often if there is a lot of dust in the
air. Replace the filter if it is very dirty.
1. Remove the air filter cover and take out
the air filter.
FIG. 15
2. Wash the air filter carefully with hot water
and a mild detergent. Rinse the air filter
with clean water and allow to dry.
3. Refit the cleaned air filter, or a new one.
4. Refit the air filter cover.
REPLACING THE BLADE
NOTE:
• Replace the blade after 50 working
hours or 2 years (which ever comes first)
regardless of its condition.
• Tilt the lawn mower on its side towards
the oil filler when replacing the blade.
Do not turn the lawn mower upside
down.
1. Hold the blade and undo the screw
anticlockwise with a spanner.
2. Remove the washer and blade.
3. Fit a new blade on the mounting flange and
lock in place with the washer and screw.
4. Check that the blade is correctly
