SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions carefully before use!

WARNING!

Never look at the sun with your telescope! This could cause severe and permanent eye

damage.

Congratulations on your purchase of our golf telescope. The telescope is an optical precision instrument
that indicates the distance to the flag in the region of 50-200 metres or yards. The telescope is easy to
use and small enough to fit inside your pocket.
But the best part is that you never have to guess the distance to the flag. Your shots to the green cannot
be anything but better!

OPERATION

1.

When you look through the telescope, you see a distance scale. The bottom line is marked
"GREEN". The words "YARDS/METRES” are above the scale. The graduation lines on the left
indicate the distance in yards and the lines on the right indicate the distance in metres.

2.

Aim the telescope at the flag.

3.

Position the image in the telescope so that the bottom of the flag pole just touches the bottom
GREEN line on the scale.

4.

Read the scale at the graduation line which is level with the top of the flag pole. This is the distance
between you and the flag. For example, if the flag pole top is just level with the 150-yard-line on the
yard side, then you are standing 150 yards from the flag.

If you cannot see the whole flag pole

A hill or other obstacle on a golf course might mean that you only see part of the flag pole. Can you use
the golf telescope in this situation as well? Yes, of course! You only need to do some simple calculations.
It should be noted that most flag poles have alternate red and white stripes. Each stripe measures one
foot (around 30 cm). Position the image in the telescope so that the GREEN line just touches the bottom
visible part of the flag pole (the point where the flag pole and the ground meet).
Count how many stripes you see on the flag pole. If only the top stripe is visible, you divide the distance
read off on the scale by eight. If the top two stripes are visible, divide the distance by four. If you can see
four stripes, halve the distance that you read off.
For example, if the top of the flag pole is right on the 200-line on the metre scale, and the top four stripes
are visible, the distance to the flag is 100 metres.
Or if the distance that you read off is 200 metres, and only the top two stripes are visible, the distance to
the flag is 50 metres.
