Stand-by battery

Connect a 9 V battery in the battery compartment. The battery only saves the time in the event of a power
cut. No digits are shown in the character display. This function means that you avoid having to reset the
clock if, for example, you move the device to another power point. The stand-by battery is only intended
to save the settings during short power cuts. During longer power cuts the battery can be discharged
and/or the time settings can become incorrect. Remove discharged batteries from the device to prevent
leakage. The stand-by battery is not necessary for the device to work, but without the battery you will
need to reset the clock after every power cut.

MAINTENANCE

NOTE

Unplug the power cord before cleaning.

Clean the casing with a damp cloth.

Do not expose the device to direct sunlight and do not use the device in hot, dusty or damp
conditions.

Keep the device away from heat sources and devices that generate radio frequency noise, such as
fluorescent lamps and motors.

Leave at least 10 cm of free space round the device to ensure adequate ventilation.

Do not cover the vents on the device.

Do not place lighted candles or other naked flames on the device.

Batteries must be recycled in accordance with local regulations.

Do not expose the device to splashing or dripping water, or other liquids. Do not, for example,
place flower vases on the device.

Protect the battery from heat, direct sunlight and naked flames.

A damaged cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre, or other qualified person, to
ensure the device is safe to use.

Only for indoor use.
