OPERATION
Connecting the outlet pipe
For occasional use, you can use a water hose with a diameter of 1 to 1 1/2 inches. For permanent
installation, we recommend a pipe and non-return valve that prevents reverse flow when the pump is shut
off.
1.
Screw the outlet pipe on the outlet port. If using a hose, screw the hose adapter on the outlet port.
2.
Firmly push the hose onto the hose adapter and secure with a hose clamp.
3.
The hose adapter can be cut. In this case, the hose can be connected using a 1 1/4 inch union nut.
NOTE:
Tighten the hose adapter by hand during assembly. If you tighten too firmly, the threads may
become damaged.
Installation
It can be used submerged, down to the operating depth specified in the technical data. Install the pump
so that the suction ports cannot become blocked. Place it flat, on a firm surface.
NOTE:
Do not lift the pump by the cord or the outlet pipe. They are not designed to support the weight of
the pump.
Lower the pump at an angle into the liquid so that no air remains beneath the pump - otherwise this
prevents suction. Once the pump is submerged, it can be straightened up.
Lower it to the bottom of the tank using a rope attached to the carrying handle. Attach the end of
the rope firmly when the pump is lowered.
The pump can also be used suspended from the rope.
When used suspended from a rope:
Do not run the pump without the outlet pipe.
Make sure the pump does not rotate around its longitudinal axis.
Using the level sensor
After the appliance has been connected to the mains power supply the pump starts automatically
with the self test. It starts automatically for 10 seconds and if both probes are dry, the pump stops
and is now on standby.
The pump has two probes one on the top (Probe 1) and one the bottom plate of the pump (probe
2). This probe can not be seen from outside.
If a liquid reaches the upper probe 1 the pump starts running till the level of the liquid reaches
probe 2, but at least 10 seconds.
After the pump has switched off, it is ready to start again if the liquid will reach probe 1 again.
If the pump switches on and off many times within a short period (10 Min) or if the pump is
switched on by probe 1 without water contact of probe 2, the security fuse inside the pump will stop
the pump to avoid further damage. To reset the security fuse the pump has to be unplugged from
