Rings
Each lamp consists of a light diffuser, a cover and two rings (figure 2). Note that the rings are different
sizes. Be sure to fit the middle ring before the lower ring. Turn the middle ring as shown in figure 2. Push
the middle ring on the diffuser. Align the four slots on the ring with the brackets on the diffuser. Hold the
diffuser upside down and turn the ring clockwise until you feel the two retainer pins snap into place.
Repeat this process with the lower ring.
Snap the cover on top of the diffuser.
Press in the lamp housing at one end of the top bulb support.
Make a loop of the low voltage cable and push it from below through the main bulb support until it
comes out through the lamp housing. Place the cable in the slot on the rear of the lamp holder
ensuring it lies across the two metal contacts. Make sure the pins are pointed towards the middle of
each of the two cable segments (figure 3).
Screw the socket on the threaded lug on the rear of the lamp holder so the cable is pressed against
the two contacts.
Fit the light bulb into the lamp holder by firmly holding the bulb and pressing it between the contact
pins of the holder (do not touch the bulb with your bare hands).
Insert the lamp holder in the base of the diffuser and turn the holder clockwise until it locks into
position.
Press the diffuser/lamp holder in place in the lamp housing.
Fit the ground spike into the bottom end of the bulb support. Make sure the low voltage cable
comes out from underneath through the recesses of the ground spike.
Make sure that all parts are correctly installed. Press the ground spike into the ground, but no
deeper than to the point where the cable comes out. Dig a hole first if the soil is hard.
Repeat the above with the other lamps.
When installing the last lamp in the series, make sure that the remaining cable end is short and fits
inside the main bulb support.
Apply some insulation tape around the cable end to protect the exposed wires. If the cable is lying
on the ground or gets wet it could cause a short circuit and damage the transformer.
Connect the low voltage cable to the transformer and then connect the transformer to the power
outlet. Turn on the transformer .
