WARNING:
The actual vibration level when using power tools may differ from the specified maximum
value, depending on how the tool
is
used. It is therefore necessary to determine whi
ch safety precautions
are required to protect the user, based on an estimate of exposure in
actual operating conditions (taking
into account all stages of the work cycle, e.g. the time when the tool is switched off and when it is idling,
in addition to the start-
up time).
INSTALLATION
Fitting/dismantling the blade
WARNING
Never plug in the power cord until the tool has been correctly assembled and all adjustments
are completed. Please read these instructions carefully before use.
•
Unfold and position the sta
nd on a solid, level surface which is sturdy enough to support the weight
of the tool, the filled water tray and your work materials.
Place the tool securely and firmly on the
frame.
•
Check that the voltage indicated on the type plate corresponds to the mains supply voltage. Any
changes must be carried out by an authorised electrician.
WARNING
This tool must only be connected to a properly earthed power socket to prevent the risk of
electric shock. If you a
re uncertain, contact an authorised electrician.
USE
Features
The blade can tilt 45° for bevel cutting.
The mitre fence adjusts to any angle between 0º and 45º for
diagonal cutting. Water is pumped to the blade during cutting operations. This helps extend the blade life
and reduces dust.
The motor is protec
ted by a safety device that shuts the motor down if it overloads, overheats or if the
current is too high.
If the device is tripped, turn off the tool with the ON/OFF switch. Allow it to cool for at
least
5 minutes before restarting it with the ON/OFF swit
ch.
Locking and unlocking the motor
•
The motor is locked during shipment. Unlock before use.
•
Insert the lock pin for the motor.
•
Release the lock pin for the motor.
The motor can now be moved forwards and backwards along the guides.
WARNING
The motor must al
ways be locked before carrying out any maintenance and before
transporting or storing the tool.
•
To lock, insert the lock pin for the motor.
•
Push the motor forwards.
Filling with water
•
Move the motor forwa
rds just enough to expose the
water tray underneath.
•
Fill the tray with clean water.
Do not add chemicals
or detergents.
The water must cover the pump.
•
Add more water if necessary while working.
Cutting
•
Plug the power cord into an earthed power socket w
ith RCD protection.
•
Mark the tile for cutting.
•
Move
the motor slowly backwards and forwards to check the blade is not in contact with the cutting
groove in the table or the fence at the back of the table.
