When nstallng the gauge usng the screw hole
1
n the center of the bed slde, select the length of
the screw so that the top end of the screw does not
come n contact wth the feed bar shaft
2
located
under the bed slde.
When the top end of the screw
interferes with the feed bar shaft,
feed pitch becomes uneven, or the
machine is locked. So, be careful.
(2) Relation between the angle of corners and
stitch length
To perform corner sttchng wth accuracy, the sttch
length can be determned referrng to the table of
the number of sttches by gauges. However, check
whether the sttch length determned really matches
the corner by actually sewng t.
(Example) To sew a correr of 90˚ of angle using a
3/16" gauge with the stitch length specified
to .6mm, the number of stches can be
obtaned n the followng way. Observe the
"90˚" columns on the table of the number of
sttches by sttch length gauges to search for
the column n whch ".6" s ndcated. Then,
you can find "3" on the top of the "1.6" lines.
Ths means the number of sttches s 3.
6-12. Stop of the needle bars and angle of corners for corners stitching (for LH-4168-7 and 4188-7)
(1) Stop of the needle bars
When separately drven needle changeover swtch
1
s
pressed durng sewng, the left-hand needle bar stops,
and when
2
s pressed, the rght-hand needle bar
stops. When the sewng machne s beng operated at
hgh speed, the speed s automatcally reduced and the
needle bar s stopped. When separately drven needle
changeover swtches
1
and
2
are pressed agan, the
machne returns to 2-needle sewng machne.
The lamp of swtch becomes as descrbed below n
accordance wth the state of separately drven needle
changeover.
At the tme of needle drvng : Lght goes off.
At the tme of watng separately drven needle
changeover : Light flashes on and off.
At the tme of needle stop : Lght s turned on.

If
sewing a corner of which angle is 40˚ or less, the thread take-up amount of the
bobbin thread slack preventer spring will be insufficient. In this case, the thread will
remain on the wrong side of the material.
