4.6.3 Public Address function with an external speaker (option)
If an external speaker (NVS-423R) is connected, the Public Address function is available to make
an announcement over the external speaker. While the Public Address function is in use, incoming
audio will not be recorded when the squelch is opened.

Lift the handset from the cradle and then touch the
[MENU]→[VOICE FUNC]→[PUBLIC ADDR] buttons.

The PA mode is started and enabled to make an
announcement over the external speaker.

Press PTT key to talk.
➢
To finish the public address function to display the
status display, replace the handset on hook. (If you
touch the [FINISH] button and exit, the screen returns
to the previous screen.)
In this mode, radio wave is not transmitted by PTT. Note
