Check GPS unit status
Send an SMS with “
STATUS#

If successful, the GPS will reply with all settings currently configured in the GPS. This is useful for
checking the settings when you are setting up more complex features like server or app tracking.
Check GPS current version
Send an SMS with “
VERSION#
”
If successful, the GPS will reply with the current version information of the unit.
Check GPS parameters
Send an SMS with “
PARAM#
”
If successful, the GPS will reply with the current parameters including IMEI number, GPS data
upload intervals, SOS number(s), Centre Number, Time Zone etc.
Set GPS Time Zone
Send an SMS with “
GMT,E/W,Hours,Mins#
” (eg GMT,E,10,0#) This example moves the time 10
hours and zero minutes from GMT in an Easterly direction.
If successful, the GPS will reply with “setting OK. <setting input>”
Restart the GPS unit
If you are having problems with your GPS unit being unresponsive when it should be working, or
you have not restarted it for a while, it is a good idea to restart it on a semi-regular basis.
Send an SMS with “
RESET#
”
The GPS unit will restart approximately 20 seconds after receiving this SMS
Wait 1 minutes or so, then send a location command to check the GPS is functioning after
restart.
