7.11 Hidden Hanger Bracket
Installation
The Hidden Hanger Brackets are used for installations
that do not require the standard Backer Plate. (They are
included with Trimmable Surround Kits.) The brackets
provide a means of attachment for the Front Cast Iron
Overlay assembly.

1. Attach each bracket using the 10 M6 x 8 phillips head
screws provided, as shown in fig. 7.24, page 23.
NOTE: Do not recess the unit into the fireplace beyond
the Top Bracket.
Mantle clearance data is unavailable
for a recessed installation.
7.12 Front Cast Iron Overlay
Assembly
The cast iron Overlay is shipped fully assembled, including
the integrated Safety Barrier Screen.
• Remove and discard the four plastic joint shims from
the front of the Brown Majolica frame assembly.
The Matte Black assembly does not ship with joint shims.
Installation
The overlay frame is heavy - assistance may be helpful.
Handle the enameled assembly carefully to avoid
inadvertent damage.
Simply engage the side mounting brackets with the steel
support tabs on either the Hidden Hanger Brackets or
Standard Backer Plate, whichever is appropriate.
