Firmware Update
When both a compatible flash drive is connected to the USB
port and there is navigation within/re-entering the “Update”
section of the parameter menu, “USB: Wait” will briefly be
shown on the top line of the display.
Then, the top line of the display will show “USB:OK”; the
number following “Scan” on the bottom line of the display
indicates the number of files and folders in the top level of the
flash drive storage.
Once the scan is complete, leave the flash drive connected to
the USB port so it will be available for other functions. A press
of the
(scroll up) or
(scroll down) button will then resume
navigation in the Update section of the menu.
BACKUP FUNCTION
Without a flash drive connected to the USB port, the steps
listed below for the Backup function only update the “Backup-
Config” restoration file held in controller on-board memory.
FIGURE 13 -
File Backup Function
With a compatible flash drive connected to the USB port, the
(enter) button is pressed when at (Level 1) “Update” >
(Level 2) “Backup” location of the display menu.
“Backing” on the upper line and “UP” on the lower line of the
display may be briefly observed immediately after the
(enter) button is pressed.
While the Backup is in progress, “Backup:Wait” alternating
with a countdown timer will be shown on the upper line and
an increasing percentage following “Backup” will be shown
on the lower line of the display.
In approximately 10 seconds, “Backup:OK” on the upper line
and “Backup 100%” will be shown on the lower line of the dis-
play when the Backup function is complete. The flash drive
may be then be removed from the USB port if not needed for
other functions. A press of the esc (cancel),
(scroll up) or
(scroll down) button will then resume menu navigation.

Indication Of Incompatible Flash Drive
If an incompatible or partitioned flash drive is used,
“Backup:FAIL” will be shown on the upper line and an error
code following “Backup” will be shown on the lower line of the
display instead of the Backup function completion indicators.
