RRS Economizer Controller Quick Start Guide
The selected firmware update file name will then be shown
on the upper line and “Confirm” on the lower line of the dis-
play. The Firmware Update process begins when the
(enter) button is pressed to confirm firmware update file
selection.
FIGURE 24 -
Firmware update completed
The Firmware Update will not be completed if the selected
firmware update file is the same revision as the firmware
presently on the controller. In a few seconds “FW
Update:OK” will be shown on the upper line and “Info” fol-
lowed by a numeric code on the lower line of the display. A
press of the esc (cancel),
(scroll up) or
(scroll down) but-
ton will then resume menu navigation.
The Firmware Update will continue if the selected firmware
update file is a different revision from the firmware presently
on the controller. Several countdown timers and progress
indicators will be shown on the display while the Firmware
Update is in progress. An automatic Backup to only the
“BackupConfig” restoration file held in controller on-board
memory is also performed with the Firmware Update.
Approximately 2 minutes after Firmware Update initiation,
“FW Update:OK” on the upper line and “Reboot” with a count-
down will be shown on the lower line of the display. The con-
troller will then reboot when the “Reboot” countdown reaches
“0”. The flash drive may be then be removed from the USB
port if not needed for other functions.

Process
The boot-up sequence initiated by Firmware Update includes
an automatic Restore from the “BackupConfig” restoration file
held in controller on-board memory. Note that any parame-
ters added by the Firmware Update process will not be
affected by the automatic Restore feature and will have the
factory default settings. Analog input presence indicators are
also reset in the Firmware Update process.
The Firmware Update process is completed and controller
operation begins when the boot-up sequence ends. A press
of the esc (cancel),
(scroll up) or
(scroll down) button
will then begin menu navigation.
EXPORT TREND
Trend data is stored in non-volatile memory of the controller
is retained through the boot-up sequence. From boot-up, the
controller trend file data is continuously accumulated until the
trend sample/status change limits are reached. The sample
intervals and sampling limits for analog parameter values
allow 7 days of accumulated trend data. The newest data
overwrites the oldest data after the trend sample/status
change limits are reached.
Controller clock time is used for timestamping of trend data
and triggers the trend sample intervals for analog inputs.
Controller clock time begins at 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM and
restarts with each boot-up sequence. Particularly in applica-
tions where the indoor fan cycles with heating and cooling
