Procedure Overview
Table 3: Connecting to an ACT2 Controller
To Do This
Follow These Steps:
Log On to a Site
Note: If you wish to set up an
ACT2 or modify its
parameters, you must log
on to the Maestro
software. When simply
viewing status or setup
information, logging on is
not required.
1. Double click the Maestro icon to run the
Maestro software.
2. Type the password in the Maestro LogOn
screen.
3. Click
the
OK
button.
Connect to a Site
1. Run the Maestro Software
2. Optional: Log on to the Maestro software,
as described above.
3. Click
the
Site
menu and select
Pick Site
.
4. Select the site that you wish to view.
5. Click the type of connection that exists to
this site (
Dial
;
Direct RS-485 or TCP/IP
;
or
Off-Line
).
Result: The Maestro software determines the
units connected at that site (
Off-Line
uses unit
information from previous connections that is
stored on the computer hard drive).
Select an ACT2 Controller at
the Chosen Site
1. Connect to a site.
2. Click
the
Site
menu and select
Pick Unit
.
3. Click the unit you wish to view.
4. Click
the
OK
button.
