Connecting to an Existing Site
Introduction
This section describes how to log on and connect to an existing site
with the Maestro software.
Dial
,
Direct
, and
Off-Line
connection
types are covered.
Connecting to a site
Off-Line
allows you to view how the site is set up
and does not require communication with the site controllers. With an
offline connection, you may access and modify site information on the
computer hard drive only, but the site controller’s current status cannot
be monitored and the controller’s parameters are not changed until
Maestro communicates with the site.
Dial
or
Direct
connections allow you to view the ACT2 controller’s
current status and modify controller’s parameter settings.
