FX-BTCVT Bluetooth® Commissioning Converter Installation Instructions

5

Bluetooth System Configurations

The SA Bus and FC Bus on the FX-PCV swap
functionality when the controller is wirelessly enabled
for use with the FX-ZFR Series Wireless Field Bus
System (that is, when DIP switch 128 on the FX-PCV is
set to the ON position).

When in wireless mode, the FX-PCV requires the use
of the FX-ZFRCBL wire harness to connect to the
controller (Figure 6). On the FX-PCG, the FX-BTCVT-1
Bluetooth Commissioning Converter connects directly
to the Sensor port per normal connection methods
(Figure 5).

Be sure to make the following connections when using
the Bluetooth Commissioning Converter and the
FX-ZFRCBL wire harness:

Connect the blue FC Bus terminal block plug of the
FX-ZFRCBL wire harness to the FC Bus port on
the FX-PCV.

Connect the black SA Bus terminal block plug of
the FX-ZFRCBL wire harness to the SA Bus port
on the FX-PCV.

Connect the RJ-12 jack of the FX-ZFRCBL to the
SA/FC Bus Port of the Bluetooth Commissioning
Converter using the cable assembly provided with
the converter.

Figure 4, Figure 5, and Figure 6 show the Bluetooth
Commissioning Converter in common FX-ZFR Series
Wireless Field Bus System configurations.

Note:

When the Bluetooth Commissioning Converter

is connected at any of the points shown in Figure 5 and
Figure 6, you can only commission the local FX-PC
controller to which you are connected.

Note:

Do not wire any other devices directly to the FC

Bus terminal block (Figure 5).

Power Supply, Network, and Communication
Connections

See Figure 1 for the location of the communications
terminal on the Bluetooth Commissioning Converter.
