B. Element Change
1. Perform
2. Open engine cover.
3. Unlock air cleaner cover (
4
) and remove from air cleaner.
4. Remove outer primary element (
5
). Inspect element for damage then discard.
5. Thoroughly clean interior of air cleaner canister and vacuator valve.
6. Replace inner safety element (

) every third primary element change or if primary
element was found to be damaged. If replacing inner safety element at this time,
carefully slide element out and replace with new element.
7. Slide new primary element over inner safety element making sure sealing edge is
flush with base of air cleaner.
8. Position air cleaner cover in place and lock into position.
9. Close and secure engine cover.
Note:
Elements should never be washed or reused. Always install new elements.
NOTICE
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE.
Primary and safety elements are required to be replaced if
used in an application longer than two years regardless of hours of operation.
