RADIO OPERATION 

 

Listening to the radio: 

1.  Tap the STANDBY   / SOURCE / ALARM OFF BUTTON (#8) to turn the unit on. 
2.  If  you  repeatedly  tap  the  STANDBY   /  SOURCE  /  ALARM  OFF  BUTTON  (#8), 

you  will  step  through  the  different  modes  available:   

FM  Radio  ->  AM  Radio  -  > 

AUX

 

3.  Tap the STANDBY   / SOURCE / ALARM OFF BUTTON (#8) repeatedly to select 

either FM or AM radio mode.

  

 

4.  The FM or AM frequency will show on the LED display (#10).

Manual Tuning:

 Repeatedly 

tap the 

TUNE - / 

 

BUTTON (#3) or TUNE + / 

 

BUTTON (#4)

 to

 manually adjust the frequency.  

6. 

Automatic  Tuning: 

Press and  hold  the  TUNE  - / 

 

BUTTON  (#3)  or  TUNE  + / 

 BUTTON (#4) to automatically tune to the previous or next available station. 

7.  Tap  the  VOL  -  /  ALARM  1  BUTTON  (#6)  or  VOL  +  /  ALARM  2  BUTTON  (#7)  to 

obtain the desired volume level. 

8.  Press  and  hold  the STANDBY   / SOURCE / ALARM OFF BUTTON (#8) to turn 

the radio off. 

 

Notes: 

  Use 

Manual  Tuning

  to  select  weaker  stations  that  might  be  skipped  during 

Automatic Tuning. 

  If  the  Automatic  Tuning  does  not  stop  on  the  exact  frequency  of  the  station,  for 

example, it stops on 88.9 MHz instead of 88.8 MHz, use the manual tuning method 
to “fine tune” to the exact frequency of the desired station. 

  When  in  radio  mode,  the  display  will  automatically  switch  back  to  show  the  time 

after a few seconds.  

  When  listening  to  the  radio,  you  can  check  the  frequency  of  the  station  you  are 

listening  by  tapping  the  TUNE  TUNE  -  / 

 

BUTTON  (#3)  or  TUNE  +  / 

 

BUTTON (#4) once. The unit will automatically switch back to show the time after a 
few seconds.

 

 
TIPS FOR BEST RADIO RECEPTION 

AM  -  The  AM  antenna  is  built  inside  the  radio.  If  AM  reception  is  weak,  change  the 

position of the unit until the internal antenna picks up the strongest signal. 

FM  -  If  FM  reception  is  weak,  fully  extend  the  FM  ANTENNA  (#14)  and  vary  the 

position and location of the antenna until you find the strongest signal.

any time. 

1.  If  you  repeatedly  tap  the  STANDBY   /  SOURCE  /  ALARM  OFF  BUTTON  (#8),

2.  Tap the STANDBY   / SOURCE / ALARM OFF BUTTON (#8) repeatedly to select

 BUTTON  (#4)  to  select  the 

desired station.  

4.  Press  and  hold  the  MEMORY  /  CLOCK  BUTTON  (#2)  until  “PXX”  shows  on  the 

LED DISPLAY (#10).  

5.  Tap  the  TUNE  -  / 

 

BUTTON  (#3)  or  TUNE  +  / 

 BUTTON  (#4)  to  select  a 

preset number (P01-P10). 

6.  Press the MEMORY / CLOCK BUTTON (#2) again to confirm the preset.
