CASSETTE PLAYER / RECORDER OPERATION
1.
Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR (#23) to the OFF/TAPE position.
2. Press the CASSETTE STOP/EJECT
BUTTON (#17) to open the Cassette Door and
insert a pre-recorded cassette tape with the exposed tape facing out towards you. Push the
Cassette Door to close it.
3. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR (#23) to OFF/TAPE position, press the CASSETTE
PLAY
BUTTON (#20) to start playback and adjust the Rotary Volume Control to obtain the
desired sound level.
4. Press the CASSETTE F.FWD
BUTTON (#18) or the CASSETTE REW
BUTTON (#19)
to rapidly advance or rewind the tape.
5. Press the CASSETTE PAUSE BUTTON (#16) to pause playback, press the button again to
resume playback.
6. Press the CASSETTE STOP/EJECT
BUTTON (#17) to stop operation.
Recording
1. Insert an audiocassette with the side on which you wish to record facing out towards you and
with the full tape reel on the right. Ensure that the cassette is not copy-protected (the copy
protection tab on the top narrow side of the cassette must not have been removed).
2. Select the source from which you wish to record with the function switch and then start
playback from this source if necessary. The sound source which you are listening to is the
one from which the recording is made. The recording level is controlled automatically.
Changing the volume does not change the recording.
3. Please press the CASSETTE RECORD
BUTTON (#21) (the CASSETTE PLAY
BUTTON
(#20) is automatically pressed down at the same time). Recording now begins. All previous
recordings are automatically erased.
4. The recording can be interrupted briefly using the CASSETTE PAUSE BUTTON (#16), or
stopped by means of the CASSETTE STOP/EJECT
BUTTON (#17) .
AUTOMATIC STOP
To protect your cassette tapes and prevent unnecessary wear to the pinch roller of the cassette
mechanism, this unit is equipped with an Automatic Stop System. When the tape ends during
play, the CASSETTE PLAY
BUTTON (#20) will automatically release to stop the cassette from
running
BLUETOOTH OPERATION
PAIRING A SMARTPHONE OR BLUETOOTH ENABLED DEVICE
The Bluetooth feature enables you to stream and play the digital music on your Bluetooth
enabled device to your unit.
1. Check your Bluetooth enabled device and make sure the Bluetooth feature is turned on.
Refer to manual of your smartphone or external Bluetooth enabled device if needed.
2. Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR (#23) to BT (Bluetooth) position and “bt” will be flashing on
the display.
3. Enable the search or scan feature of your Bluetooth device and select “CD-590” from the list
of discoverable Bluetooth devices.
4. Once paired (connected), the “bt” showing on the display will stop flashing and remain on.
5. You can now stream music from your Bluetooth enable device to the CD-590.
6. Adjust the volume of the Bluetooth enable device to a comfortable level.
7.
If you want to pair the CD-590 with another Bluetooth device, press the MODE BUTTON (#11)
to disconnect from the current device. “bt” will begin flashing in the display again.
