NOTE:
At this point, the roof needs to be high enough to ensure that the tent will
not be in the path of the bed slide during the bed setup.
4.
Lower stabilizer jacks (Fig. 3-5) by placing provided jack crank onto jack shaft and
turn clockwise to lower. Lower jack until the frame begins to rise slightly. Equalize
the stabilizer jacks for best support. You may need to adjust the stabilizer jacks two
or three times.
NOTE:
Road dirt and grime will sometimes make jacks difficult to operate. You may
need to clean them before operating. To maintain stabilizer jacks keep clean
and lubricate twice a year using only silicone lubricants. Oils will attract dirt
and cause additional problems.
Do not place excessive weight on these jacks as they are intended to
stabilize, not support the camper. The camper should be level.
NOTE:
The bed braces are stored under the bed mattress (Fig. 3-7).
5.
On folding camping trailer models that use a curved or preformed bed brace, place
the support into position before pulling the bed out. Place the other end of the bed
brace into the bracket attached to the front wall (Fig. 3-10).
6.
Pull the end bunk beds out until the rail hits the bed stop. Distribute the awning
panel over the bunk and place corners of the tent over the corner of the bed. Make
sure the beds are extended fully.
WARNING:
Do not use bed support poles if bent or damaged. Replace all
damaged support poles.
7. Place flattened end of the straight bed braces into the brackets provided on the
A-frame in front and on the bumper in rear (Fig. 3-10). Place the angled, smashed end
of the straight bed braces into the bed brackets near the outer corners under the
plywood bunk beds.
8. Complete raising the roof until gray limit cable is almost tight and the tent is almost
taut. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN (Fig. 3-4).
CAUTION: If the limit cable is raised too high, lifter system/tent damage could
occur and the door will not fit properly.
NOTE:
Once the roof is raised, if it is not level, use the bolt just below the rear
bumper (Fig. 3-6) to adjust the rear end of the roof. To raise the rear of the
roof, tighten, or turn clockwise, the nut on the bolt. If the rear of the roof
needs to be lowered, loosen, or turn counter clockwise, the nut. This
adjustment will not affect the front of the roof.
9. Enter unit, and insert the bow brace into the saddle plug (Fig. 3-8). Push the bow
brace outward and upward while pressing the button farthest from the curved end of
the bow brace and slip end into bracket mounted on the roof only past the first
button. Release button (Fig. 3-9).
10. Unlatch the twist locks holding the door to the roof (Fig. 3-11). Swing down the
double hinged, self-storing screen door. Drop channel of the lower edge of the screen
door over the entrance door, guiding locating pins into the doorjamb extrusion (Fig.
3-12). If the door does not align properly, check the stabilizer jacks to make sure
they are adjusted correctly and check to see if the camping trailer is level.
