2 Attach the zipper foot with the pin of
the foot on the right-hand side.
Lower the zipper foot on the top side
at the bottom of the zipper so that the
needle pierces the fabric next to the
fold and the zipper tape.
Sew through all layers next to the
fold.

1 Fold back the left seam allowance.
Turn under the right seam allowance
to make a 1/8” (0.2 to 0.3cm) fold.
Place the zipper teeth next to the fold
and pin in place.

3 Stop just before the zipper foot
reaches the slider on the zipper tape
about 2” (5.0cm) from the top of the
zipper. Lower the needle slightly into
the fabric, raise the foot.
Open the zipper to move the slide
behind the zipper foot. Lower the foot
and stitch the remainder of the seam,
making sure the fold is even.
