Key Features & Components
This section explains the function and use of key fea-
tures and components on the motherboard. It also indi-
cates where to look in the manual for additional infor-
mation on configuring and using them.
This motherboard uses an ATX form factor PCB in a
design that integrates many features onto the board in-
cluding several external ports.

The ports have standard
color-coding as follows:
PS/2 Keyboard: Purple
PS/2 Mouse: Green
USB Ports: Black
LAN jack: None
Serial Ports: Teal
Parallel Port: Burgundy
Line Out jack: Lime
Line-In jack: Light Blue
Microphone jack: Pink
Game/MIDI: Gold*
Note:
This figure illustrates the
P4R533-N ports. The stan-
dard P4R533 does not
have the onboard LAN fea-
ture or jack.
*The Game port connector
is on the motherboard and
connects to the optional
6CHG 6-channel audio port
bracket that mounts in an
expansion slot opening.
The colored port is on the
port bracket.
