2.3.20 System Hardware Monitor
The system hardware monitor supports following features:
Integrated temperature sensor to monitor system temperature
Voltage sense monitoring to detect voltage level (Vcorea,12 V, -12 V, +5 V, -5 V,
+3.3 V,VBAT,5VSB)
Fan speed sensors for up to three fans
With a proprietary application, the system hardware monitor logic will check the voltage,
temperature and fan speed all the time. If any failure occurs, the application will prompt warning
message in a real time.
2.3.21 Chassis Intrusion Detection (JP11)
the chassis intrusion circuitry can detect unauthorized intrusion to the system. The chassis intrusion
connector is located on JP11. Attach a micro-switch to JP11 When the micro-switch is closed, it
means that the chassis has been opened. The circuitry will then alert the user with a warning
message when the system is turned on.
2.3.22 SMBus connector (JX1)
SMBus ( System Management Bus) connector for system transfer control signal.

2.3.23 Internal modem Wake Up Function connector (JX2)
This connector for “Power on by Ring “ function as internal modem.
2.3.24 Power On function Select
When 1-2 pin is ON, Power On function by BIOS control. When 2-3 pin is ON, Power On function
was be button.
2.3.25 SCSI Subsystem ( LVD/SE and SCSI)
The onboard SCSI subsystem features the Adaptec AIC-7896, which contains an Ultra2 Wide
SCSI controller and a PCI bus master interface. It provides a Low-Voltage-Differential (LVD)
channel. The LVD (Ultra2 SCSI) is the most recent SCSI technology, which supports transfer
rate of up to 80 MB per second and maximum cable length of up to 12 meters.
The motherboard has three SCSI connectors. The LEAGCY channel has one high-density 68-pin
