General description
MULTIMIX-C
is a modular system allowing to supply heat transfer fluid with a different temperature for each thermal zone, by means of distribution booster
kits. Pumping kits are made independent by a pressure-equalising device integrated in the main manifold, which is suitable to feed 2 or 3 distribution kits
depending on the version. Each distribution kit can be of full-temperature or mixing type, depending on the specific application.
Installation instructions
Warning.
The contact with high-temperature fluid can cause even serious scalding.
Use the adequate personal protection equipment (PPE).
Preliminary operations
Before starting to connect pipes to the unit, it is strongly recommended that nuts, plugs, sensor pockets and fittings are tightened properly, and that pumps
are installed in the correct direction (see Fig. 3). Upstream and downstream pipeline should be carefully washed, so to remove possible debris that may be
present within other system components.
MULTIMIX-C
can be installed with downward or upward flow direction. In the latter case, remove the air vent valve
from the separator/manifold (A1 in Fig. 2) and install a proper air-vent device on the top of the circuit.
+
Important.
The main manifold of
MULTIMIX-C
system features a fixed pressure equaliser. In case the unit is to be connected to a buffer tank, it
is necessary to install a circulation pump between the tank and the pressure equaliser, so that hot water can be supplied to
MULTIMIX-C
unit. As
an alternative, it is possible to completely exclude the hydraulic separation function before connecting
MULTIMIX-C
to the system.
To completely exclude the hydraulic separation function, fit the 1”-fitting included in the package (A in Fig. 10) in the main manifold primary inlet and
screw it up to mechanical stop (Fig. 10). Once this operation has been performed, it will be possible to mount the red-knob ball valve.
