If it becomes necessary to completely reset the APD-T01 autodialer to its out-of-the-box factory defaults, you
will find a switch inside the battery compartment marked
NORMAL / ERASE
. To erase all of the unit’s settings,
do the following steps:
1. Disconnect both the AC power supply and the phone line before removing the autodialer from the wall.
2. Open the 9V battery compartment, and remove the 9V backup battery.
3. Move the switch to the
ERASE
position.
4. Reconnect the AC power supply (but do not reconnect the battery!). The LCD display should show
in large letters.
5. Press the [DELETE] key twice; the unit should acknowledge this with a double beep.
6. Disconnect the AC power supply again, then move the switch back to the
NORMAL
position.
7. Replace the 9V battery, then place the unit back on the wall and reconnect both the phone line and the AC
power supply. All of the unit’s settings will have been reset back to factory default, including the access
password.
