BATTERIES

The

FS/GS

 can be fitted with either

rechargeable

 or

replaceable

 batteries.

The

FS/GS

batteries are designed to last more than

a working shift.

However, if power does run low, a warning

BATTERY

LEVEL LOW

will be displayed. (After a further period

of use, your

FS/GS

will turn itself off and will not turn

on again.) You should do one of the following:

Return the

FS/GS

 to your base or office.

Or

if rechargeable batteries are fitted, recharge
them (see

Charging batteries

) or fit a fully

charged battery stick (see

Replacing

batteries

).

Or

fit three new AA size Alkaline batteries (see

Replacing batteries

).

Charging batteries

Charging is recommended before each working shift.
You will need an

FS/GS AC Adaptor

.

CAUTION: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RECHARGE
NON-RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES. Check that
rechargeable batteries are fitted to your FS/GS,
and are oriented correctly. Use only the FS/GS
AC Adaptor.

Turn off the

FS/GS

.

Plug the AC adaptor into the AC supply.

Connect the AC adaptor to RS232 connector.

Turn on the AC supply.

Leave the unit to recharge, preferably for 8
hours.

Turn off or disconnect from the AC supply.
