Procedure
To use only the electric heating element:

Turn ON, the switch shown in Figure 6-1. This will turn on
the electric heating element and will heat the coolant
inside of the tank. To ensure the electric element is
activated, an amp meter can be used to check current flow
through the element.

The circulating pump will turn on and circulate the heated
coolant when there is a call for heat (thermostats or
domestic water).

The circulating pump will continue to operate until there is
no longer a call for heat.
Do not operate the electric element until coolant is added to
the heater and all trapped air has been removed.

Electrical Components

Control box and board – The main control board is
contained in a stainless-steel control box) and is
connected to the heater via a 12’ long, ½” diameter
interface cable. All components in the heater unit are
pre-wired to the main terminal block on the control
board. Figure 6-4 shows the connections
