oriented to the side and downward (because of water
condensation). The immersion sleeves should also be
mounted to the side or downwards.
▪
The meter must always be installed in the return line.
(Attention! Select appropriate order option!)
Installation notices for the calculator
▪
The ambient temperature of the calculator may not ex-
ceed 55°C.
▪
Avoid direct solar radiation.
▪
The device can be installed
vertically or horizontally rel-
ative to the flow sensor. To
do this, pull the ALU off the
flow sensor, turn it and
push it on in the required position.
▪
The computer must be to fixed to the wall at heating wa-
ter temperatures below 10 °C or above 90 °C. At the
same time it is necessary to ensure that condensed wa-
ter cannot run along the connected pipes and into the
calculator.
▪
A meter with a removable control cable may be separat-
ed during the installation. When installation is done be
sure that only paired parts (volume part, calculator) are
connected together and in correct order. (red / blue /
white).
▪
The control cable must not be extended!
Notes on power supply installation
▪
The 110 V / 230 V voltage module are encapsulated and
correspond to safety class II so that mains voltage does
not need to be isolated on changing the unit.
In the standard version of the ultego III perfect, a battery is
inserted in the factory.
▪
Available as special model is a pre-installed voltage
module with outward leading cable (110 V / 230 V AC) or
connecting terminals (24 V ACDC).
▪
The 110 V or 230 V voltage module has to be fused with
6 A close to the meter and protected against manipula-
tion.
▪
Only one compartment for the power supply must be
equipped – do not remove the red locking hatch.
▪
In case of battery operation, the battery type depends on
the respective ultego III perfect requirements. Please
note the relevant table in the technical data.
▪
The power pack detects whether there is mains voltage.
This signal is fed to the ultego III perfect. Thus the ultego
III perfect automatically detects whether it is being sup-
plied from a battery or a power pack.
Notes on installing the communication modules
The ultego III perfect is equipped with an optical port to EN
62056-21:2002 as a standard feature. In addition, up to two
of the following communication modules can be used:
▪
Pulse module (pulses for energy / volume / device status
/ tariff register 1 / tariff register 2, floating, bounce-free)
▪
M-Bus module G4 to EN 1434-3, fixed and extended,
variable protocol
▪
M-Bus module G4 MI with 2 pulse inputs
▪
Analog module (separate power pack 230 V required
(art. no. 77597))
These modules have no impact on metering and can there-
fore be retrofitted at any time without damaging the adhe-
sive label.
▪
Permissible combinations of modules:
*)
▪
only 1 module possible with fast pulses
▪
only approved in slot 2
▪
min. pulse duration:
▪
2 ms if pulse module 1 is not used
▪
5 ms if pulse module 1 is used
