3. Check the device for damage or malfunction when the pip pin axle has been removed
4. Check that the device is installed in the correct orientation and that it sits securely
on the line
[H] Attachment
1. The user must attach a full body harness (Conforming to EN361) at the front
attachment point. The connecting distance between the full body harness attachment
point and the rope should not exceed 200mm. When using a system on rooftops, the
user may also attach the ropegrab to the sternal or dorsal attachment point of a full
body harness (EN361). It is recommended that the energy absorbing lanyard should
not exceed 1000mm
2. The attachment point must be certified as a fall arrest attachment point. The connector
must be certified to the relevant international standard (EN362, ANSI Z359.1)
3. When correctly installed on the line, the cam piece should be adjustable ensuring the
device slows along the line
4. A minimum ground clearance of 2 meters below the feet of the user should be
maintained
5. Low stretch kernmantle ropes compliant with EN1891 class A should be used. Flexible
anchor lines shall be secured to an upper anchor point and shall either fitted with an end
stop or be capable of being fitted to an end stop (this includes a suitable knot)

The Ropegrab can be used in the following ways, but ISC recommend that users be
trained in its many uses and learn about both its practical and physical strengths and
weaknesses. Ropegrabs can be used on wire cable. If this is the intended application
then the Ropegrab should be a single use only device due to damage caused
