[D] Misuse
1. Do not install the cam upside-down
2. Do not install the device on the rope in an incorrect orientation. Follow guidance from
the arrow markings on the device
3. Do not use on greasy ropes
[E] Fixed Bolt Installation
1. Insert Cam [3] into Ropegrab Body (Ensure Cam is inserted in correct orientation)
2. Insert axle [1] through holes in the body and cam from the laser-etched side of the
body
3. Place the washer [4] over the threaded end, apply a small amount of thread locking
compound (Truloc 375 or equivalent) and add the new Nyloc nut [5]. Tighten by hand
4. Captivate the shaft head [1]in suitably protected vice jaws / spanner and tighten
the Nyloc nut using a spanner / socket. Tighten to a torque of 17Nm (14.75lb/ft)
5. 100% inspect the product for security and action
[F] Pip Pin Axle
The Ropegrab (RP209, RP205) is equipped with a Pip Pin Axle that can be removed prior
to use to ease the installation of rope. Ensure the rope complied with EN1891 class A
low stretch kernmantle ropes.
1. Device prior to the loading of rope
2. Correct orientation of the cam inside the main body
3. Incorrect orientation of the cam inside the main body
4. Depress the pip pin and axle
5. Begin to remove the pip pin from the device
6. Remove the pip pin fully and remove the cam
Repeat this process in reverse order to reinstall the cam and pip pin.
[G] Pre-use Check
1. Ensure that the keeper spring (red wire) is secure
2. Inspect the body, cam, and axle visually for damage or malfunction and marking
legibility, ensuring all parts move correctly
