Programming the Automatic Wireless Fowler Transmitter
1. Ensure
the
transmitter
is
inside
the
mattress
located
on
the
right
side
of
the
mattress
at
the
head
end.
2. Ensure
the
mattress
is
in
a
flat
position.
3. Ensure
the
control
unit
is
plugged
in,
and
the
LCD
displays
STAND
BY.
4. Perform
one
of
the
following:
• MA90Z
‐
Perform
the
following
steps:
i. Press
and
hold
the
Turn
Angle
and
Max
Inflate
buttons.
NOTE:
The
Fowler
LED
is
lit
and
L
displays
in
the
LCD
Display.
ii. Raise
the
bed
to
45°.
NOTE:
The
control
unit
will
beep
and
will
return
to
Standby.
iii. Perform
one
of
the
following:
• Cancel
‐
Press
the
Turn
Angle
button
to
exit
Fowler
Transmitter
Setup
without
linking
to
a
transmitter.
• Save
‐
Wait
60
seconds
without
pressing
a
key.
• MA95Z
‐
Perform
the
following
steps:
i. Press
and
hold
the
Hold
and
Max
Inflate
buttons.
ii. AUTO
FOWLER
LEARN
MODE
will
display.
iii. PLACE
BED
IN
FLAT
POSITION
will
display.
iv. CONTINUE
‐
>
SELECT
will
display.
v. Press
the
Select
button.
vi. PLACE
BED
IN
FOWLER/UPRIGHT
POSITION
will
display.
vii. TRANSMITTER
DETECTED
will
display.
viii.The
control
unit
will
beep.
ix. STAND
BY
will
display.
