Power Steering (if equipped)
Notice:
When reaching the maximum turn angle while steering the machine, do not
hold the maximum angle for longer than 3 seconds to avoid overheating the
electric motor and controller.
The Intimidator GC1K Stage 2 and Stage 3 come equipped with power steering
made by Demon Powersports. If the system is not operating as intended, follow
the troubleshooting procedures below.
To troubleshoot the power steering system:
1. Check all connections and fuses.
2. Check the LED Diagnostic light for a blinking pattern.
a. Normally the light will turn ono for one second and then turn off when
the engine is started.
b. If the light remains on there is an incorrect connection in the system,
refer to the Fault Diagnosis Table below.
c. If there is a malfunction, the system will create a code to identify the
problem. Each fault code is displayed by a series of flashes.
d. If the light pattern does not indicate a fault code, the wiring system
must be checked with a multimeter.
Fault Code Flashes
Every fault code is composed of double digits. Each long flash represents a
multiple of 10 and is 2 seconds in length. Each short flash represents a single
digit and is 1 second in length. There is a 3 second space between the long
flashes and the short flashes.
Example:
Long flash - long flash – space - short flash = fault code 21
