How the UA262024 Works – Figures 2 & 3
When a new carton (item 1) reaches the Carton Sealer Machine rollers, it is pick-up by the Drive
Sections (belts) (items 2) and carried forward into the machine. The sensor (item 3) detects
carton which lowers the gate (item 4) to lets carton through. When sensor detects rear of carton,
timer is turned on. When the time has elapsed, kicker (item 5) is triggered and folds rear minor
flap. Front minor flap is folded by ski (item 6) as carton goes through. Major flaps are folded by
plow rods (items 7) as carton is moved forward. Top and bottom flaps are taped simultaneously
by top and bottom tape heads.
