Appendix 4 Interfaces
Standard Interface "uart1:", cont.
20 mA Current Loop, cont.
On the CPU board, check:
• Optocouplers must be fi tted on IC-205 and IC-206. These are not
included as standard and must be ordered separately.
• Jumper must be fi tted on middle position of P-202 to select
20 mA current loop.
• Any RS-422 circuit fi tted on IC-207 (optional),
RS-232 circuit
fi tted on IC-200 (standard), and jumpers fi tted on P-204 to P-209
or on P-200 are of no consequence.
P-203 External 5 Volt
Jumper fi tted co5V to pin 16. Caution! Max. 200 mA.
Be careful not to enable the external 5V unintentionally, which
may cause harm to the terminal, PC, or other device connected
to this port!
Cable confi guration
The printer end of the connection cable should have a DB-25pin
female connector. The computer end of the cable depends on your
type of computer.
The printer’s connector contains the following signals:
Pin 9
+ 20 mA
Pin 10
– 20 mA
Pin 11
TXD +
Pin 12
TXD –
Pin 13
+ 20 mA*
Pin 14
– 20 mA*
Pin 16
+ 5 VDC, 200 mA (if jumper fi tted on P-203)
Pin 18
RXD +
Pin 25 RXD –
*. In case of printer being active receiver.
