4.10 Test Print

Test Print Procedure
Obviously, the printer is carefully tested before delivery and should
be ready to operate without any further adjustments. If you want to
get going quickly, proceed at chapter 4.15 and return to chapters
4.10 – 4.14 if any printout deficiencies are detected.

. Continuing from chapter 4.9, the display panel shows:
OFF LINE

. Press the <Menu> key.

. Press the <Cursor right> key four (4) times until this menu is
displayed:

. Press the <Enter> key.
TEST PRINT

. Press the <Enter> key.

. Press the <Enter> key.

NOW CLEANING

. When the cleaning is completed, the printer start printing the first
type of test label.
PRINTING

. Three identical labels will be printed. This type of test labels
show the “Nozzle Adjustment Patterns” and are used for adjust-
ing the alignment of the nozzles, see chapter 4.12 for further
information. Always use the last labels in the series for evalua-
tion. When the printing is completed, this message appears:

. Press the <Enter> key.
NOZ.ADJ.PATTERN
For printing the entire test patterns, labels
with gaps with a width of 101.6 mm (4")
and a length of 76.2 mm (3") are recom-
mended (default setup).
Before other types or sizes of paper
can be used, the printer's setup must
be changed, see chapter 4.9.
