Setting Up Hand-Held Remote Transceiver

NOTE:
If the word
FAILURE
instead of
SUCCESS
appears at the bottom of the
screen during any of the following steps,
repeat the programming procedure, then try
replacing the batteries in the Hand-Held. If
the problem persists, refer to appropriate
troubleshooting procedures beginning on
page 42.
Press and release
any button on the
Hand-Held Remote
to wake it from
sleep. (The unit
goes to sleep to conserve battery life
when it has been idle for 60 seconds.)
The screen display on the Hand-Held
should look generally like the example
on the right, though it may display actual
temperatures and settings.
Press and hold the
<P/S>
and
<CHLR>
buttons at the same
time for about 5
seconds. This will
put the device in programming mode, as
shown at the right.
NOTE:
If you pause in the programming
procedure for 30 seconds or so, the
screen automatically returns to Step 1.
