Processor Core Frequency Selection/Clear CMOS Jumper (J11)
Jumper 11
You can use jumper connector 11 (J11) to set the processor speed and to clear the CMOS. The
Processor Plug and Play BIOS is used for setting the Core/Bus (Fraction) ratio of the processor.
Instead of setting the Core/Bus ratio with a DIP switch, you can place a jumper on J11 and
select the Core Frequency field at the BIOS Setup screen. A battery must be used to retain the
system board configuration in CMOS RAM. You can also clear CMOS RAM by placing a
jumper on J11.
To set the Core/Bus ratio of CPU:
1.
Turn off power to the system and open the computer cover.
2.
Place a jumper on J11.
3.
Turn on power to the system and enter BIOS Setup. The
Maintenance
screen displays.
