VSC8221 – Single Port SGMII to 1GBASE-T PHY
The VSC8221 is a single port PHY that translates SGMII to
10/100/1000BASE–T and vice versa. This device is used for management port.
Below is a list of the major signals for the VSC8221:
•
SGMII – Connected to the SGMII lanes of the CN78XX (QLM 1)
•
10/100/1000BASE –T – Connected Through the magnetic Ethernet Transformer to
RJ45 management port
•
MDIO – Connected to CN78XX for PHY management
