PROBLEM

Operating Instructions
Operating the Tool
1.
Insert staples into your tool following the instructions on
page 4 of this manual .
2.
Position the box in line with the desired staple location,
using the small projections on either side of the magazine
seat to aid in locating the position of the staple .
3.
Hold the handle with your hand and press the handle
all the way down until it stops by the other hand .
Release the handle and move the stapler to the next
location .
4.
To achieve the strongest closure, place staples near the end
of box, but check the packing requirements to find optimal
staple placement .
5.
Test staple clinching in samples of the box board being
used . Make adjustments for depth of penetration and
tightness of clinch as needed .
WARNING:
To prevent accidental injuries: never place a hand or any other part of body in
staple clinching area or adjustment window . Never point tool toward anyone else . Do not engage
in horseplay . Always handle the tool with care . Never press handle unless tool is in positioned over
carton . Protect your eyes and ears . Wear safety glasses with side shields . Wear hearing protection .
Employers and users are responsible for ensuring the user or anyone near the tool wears this safety
protection .
NOTE:
Check and replace any damaged or worn components on the tool . The safety warning
labels on the tool must also be replaced if they are not legible .
WARNING:
Stop using the tool immediately if any of the following problems occur . Serious
personal injury could occur . A qualified person or an authorized service center must do any repairs or
replacements .
