WPS SETTINGS
WPS stands for Wi‐Fi Protected Setup (also referred to as Wi‐Fi
Simple Config) and is a computing standard that attempts to
allow easy establishment of a secure wireless home network.
This means, that you can join a secured wireless network
without entering a complicated password, but simply by
pushing a button or by entering a so‐called pin‐code. Not all
wireless clients support WPS, however.
WPS Enable:
This activates or deactivates the WPS function.
Pin:
Pin code that the client must enter in order to join, if the pin code method is used.
The lower part of the screen is dedicated to the push button method.
Here is how it works:
1. Click on ‘Start’.
2. Wait for the message ‘setting’ to be displayed.
3. Push the WPS button on your wireless client. If the client does not have
a physical button, then usually a ‘software button’ is provided. An
example of the Android WPS push button function is shown below.
4. When the connection is established, the message will change to
‘Successful’.
